Jean-Michel Belorgey

A member of the French Council of State, Jean-Michel Belorgey served as President of the Commission for Cultural Affairs at the National Assembly from 1988 to 1993. At the Council of State, he was the Rapporteur-Général for the Department of Reports and Studies from 1993 to 1996, and was then the president of this department. He is also the author of several books, including Clé pour la politique sociale (1976), La vraie vie est ailleurs (1989), and of studies commissioned by the government such as Réformes de la police (1982), and Minima sociaux, revenus d’activité, précarité” (2000). His professional and volunteer endeavors mainly focus on the defense and the promotion of human dignity, and on the respect of ethnic, cultural and religious differences.
